A class meeting is held in the second portion of the MS-III year during which scheduling procedures and forms are explained in detail. Students are given approximately three weeks to complete the Schedule Form, obtain the faculty advisor's signature, and return the form to the Registrar's Office for processing. Schedules are designed by the students on Schedule Forms using the calendar known as Period Codes. Students need to design a Year 4 schedule that considers what has been accomplished or will be accomplished by the end of Year 3, using the "Period Codes" table.
All Year 4 rotations should begin at 8:00 a.m. on the first day of the elective rotation
Electives conclude at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday of the final week.
Subinterships conclude at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday of the final week.
When available, directors have included instructions for the first meeting day within the elective description.
Student evaluations provide faculty with feedback that can be used to improve the quality of education at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
Subinternship evaluation is a REQUIREMENT of the M.D. Degree Program.
