General Research Interests: Microbiology, molecular biology, enzyme thermostability, thermophilic expression systems, biotransformation or biocatalysis, PCR, nucleic acid detection and amplification technologies.

I am responsible for the oversight of a group of scientists developing new products and platform technologies for the Sigma-Aldrich Life Science catalog. My group evaluates new biological science technologies and has an active research program for new technology and product development. This involves coordinating a team of scientists, marketing, sales, technical service, production, quality control and project management groups at Sigma-Aldrich for the transfer of technology into new molecular biology products. My group primarily focuses on novel nucleic acid technologies and products. Our group researches PCR, detection of DNA and RNA sequences, thermophilic enzymes and microorganisms and DNA damage repair.

Higher purpose. Greater good.
