A: Please see this discussion on the information for Sophomores page.
Q: What are the requirements for the NS contract major?
A: Please see the link (above), "REQUIREMENTS"
Q: Do I need to be pre-med to become a NS contract major?
A: No, you do not need to be pre-med to become a NS contract major. Neuroscience is an appropriate major for all students who want to pursue graduate studies or professional work in any scientific or professional field.
Q: Who will be my mentor?
A: Three out of the list of mentors must approve your program. However, for convenience, one will be your advising mentor for signatures.
Q: What are my options, in terms of a capstone experience?
A: Arrange with one of the mentors to do a library or research project. That project could be with one of the mentors, or could be outsourced by one of the mentors with a host of research sponsors. We can help you to find sponsorship.
Q: What if I think it is appropriate to change my contract (for instance, by substituting an alternate course)?
A: Get that change approved by the 3 who signed the original proposal, and the approval by the college will be straightforward.
Q: If I already have a contract, do I have to fulfill the new requirements that were listed Fall 2012?
A: No, your contract is still valid, but specific substitutions can be considered as before.
