My group investigates Chemical Nonlinear Dynamics. The major focus of interest is the investigation of emergent, collective dynamics features of electrochemical systems. We study synchronization dynamics (emergence of coherence, dynamical differentiation, synchronization engineering) of rhythmic electrochemical systems (such as iron, nickel, and copper electrodissolution). In a recent research effort, we apply synchronization techniques to EEG data for the investigation of mesial temporal lobe epilepsy and sleeping disorders.
