Saint Louis University

The M.P.A./M.A. unites the American and urban focus of public policy analysis with the broad international concerns of political science. Consequently, it can prepare graduates to better understand the global context of local politics and problems. The program seeks to provide its graduates with proficiency in management principles and techniques, research and evaluation skills, and the analysis of individual and institutional values as they relate to social, economic, and political behavior.

This program is designed for public service professionals and for students who have not yet entered the work force who are interested in preparing themselves for careers in the public sector at the international, national, state, and local levels and in the nonprofit sector. The program can also further career aspirations of students seeking career opportunities in for-profit organizations that have extensive ties with government. It can provide training for foreign students preparing for jobs.
