Who Should Apply for a M.A. in Political Science?
All applicants: Ordinarily, students must have an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.4, overall and in political science courses, to be admitted to the M.A. program.
Applicants to the B.A./M.A. program: SLU Political Science majors will apply during their junior year.
Applicants who have already earned an undergraduate degree: Students who have already completed an undergraduate degree are welcome. Normally, candidates must have completed 18 hours of undergraduate social science courses, with at least 9 of these hours in political science.
Applicants interested in obtaining a dual degree: The department will assist with individual arrangements for students hoping to pursue a dual degree (for instance, J.D./M.A., M.A./M.P.H, etc.)
