We strongly recommend that students plan their coursework sequentially. SOC 120 is a prerequisite for SOC 220 and SOC 221, and should be taken before any other courses in the Anthropology degree.

Grade Requirements: We recommend students achieve a C- or better in all required courses for any major or minor in this department. Students must maintain
an overall GPA at or above 2.0 at SLU to participate in the department's programs.

Mentors, as well as the Departmental Chair, reserve the right to alter any of the above in consultation with each other for the benefit of the Anthropology student or particular needs of the degree candidates. Please be advised that no more than ONE elective may double-count for another, separate major or minor within the department.
