The Doisy College of Health Sciences offers thirteen programs for undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in health sciences. Students can receive a degree in programs with certifications to enter directly into a field or pursue pre-professional tracks for interest in attending medical or dental school or a career as a physician assistant.

Getting its start in 1929, the Doisy College of Health Sciences has provided students with the tools and education to become well prepared healthcare professionals. The school boasts modern labs including a gait lab, a culinary lab, a diagnostic lab, a simulated medical office suite and exam rooms, a radiation therapy simulation lab and media labs.

Doisy College of Health Sciences is located in the heart of St. Louis on SLU's Medical Center, home to Saint Louis University's School of Medicine, College of Public Health & Social Justice, School of Nursing and Saint Louis University Hospital. DCHS offers health care education at the baccalaureate, master's, doctoral, and professional levels.

The Edward and Margaret Doisy School of Allied Health Professions was dedicated in 2001. The school was endowed by Margaret Doisy, widow of the 1943 Nobel laureate for physiology and medicine for his discovery of vitamin K. Dr. Doisy was the first to isolate and chemically characterize a steroid sex hormone, opening up the entire field of steroid hormones for chemical and medical investigation.
