Athletic Training Bowls a Strike for Scholarships
Saint Louis University's Athletic Training Society hosted their Second Annual Bowl-a-thon Fundraiser at Moolah Lanes to raise funds for the Bob Bauman Endowed Scholarship in Athletic Training. Last year $5,000 dollars was raised with 114 sponsors. This year, the 2014 SLATS Bowl-A-Thon exceeded their goal of $6,000 dollars, raising a total of $6,500 dollars. In addition, as a part of Saint Louis University's new Go Further campaign, every dollar raised is being matched. The Go Further campaign will take the grand total to $13,000 dollars.
Athletic Training students showed their continued support during the presentation of the big check to Dr. Irma Ruebling, Interim Dean of Doisy College of Health Sciences, which will go towards SLU's Bob Bauman Endowed Scholarship in Athletic Training.
The Bob Bauman Endowed Scholarship in Athletic Training will provide tuition support for outstanding students in SLU's athletic training education program during their final year of study.
