BLS Graduate Adeyeni Awarded ASCLS Travel Grant
Temitope Adeyeni, a spring Clinical Laboratory Science graduate of the Department of Biomedical Science (formerly Clinical Laboratory Science) has been awarded a $500 American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science Student Travel Grant to attend the ASCLS Annual Meeting and Clinical Lab Expo in Chicago from July 29-August 2.
The ASCLS Annual Meeting will allow Adeyeni to network with hundreds of fellow laboratorians, sharing challenges and best practices; experience the latest in laboratory science and technology, which will feature more than 480 exhibiting companies with 1,700 booths; and take home practical information on methodologies, management and emerging issues.
The ASCLS prepares dynamic leadership and vigorously promotes all aspects of clinical laboratory science practice, education and management to ensure excellent, accessible cost-effective laboratory services for the consumers of health care.
Adeyeni was also awarded the Exemplary Achievement Award as part of the SLU Leadership and Service Awards Ceremony and the St. Louis Chapter of Clinical Laboratory Management Association’s Jean S. Schroeder Memorial Student Scholarship.
Adeyeni will continue her education at Saint Louis University as a student in the Master of Science in Health Sciences Program.
