A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in electrical engineering can also be obtained with the following options:
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in electrical engineering, emphasis in bioelectronics (pre-med)
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in electrical engineering, emphasis in bioelectronics (engineering emphasis)
There is also an accelerated B.S. to M.S. option available.
Saint Louis University Electrical Engineering Degree Overview
Saint Louis University's undergraduate degree in electrical engineering incorporates the analysis, design and development of electrical and electronic systems, and prepares you to either go onto graduate school or to find a job as an electrical engineer.
SLU's undergraduate degree in electrical engineering teaches you to apply your knowledge of mathematics, the sciences and engineering to practical problems. It also offers you an opportunity to work on multidisciplinary teams and develop effective communication skills. SLU's electrical engineering program provides an integrated design experience, as well as a strong focus on computer skills and computer software.

What You'll Learn in SLU's Electrical Engineering Program
SLU's Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology offers two electrical engineering tracks: a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering, and a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering with an emphasis in bio-electronics.
Often chosen by students who plan to attend medical school, the bio-electronics emphasis offered with SLU's electrical engineering degree incorporates courses in biology, chemistry, math and biomedical engineering with course work in electrical and electronic engineering.
The program also includes a two-semester design sequence in your senior year that offers you major engineering design experience with a focus on professional practice. Independent study on an electrical engineering topic can also be arranged under the direction of a faculty member.
You'll also be encouraged to seek research opportunities with SLU's faculty, many of which include stipends funded by electrical engineering department or grants. Summer research opportunities also exist, both at SLU and at other leading research universities.
