How to Apply to ESL at SLU

Applying to ESL Level 1 (Beginner)

1. OFFICIAL ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPT(S)
Photocopies that have been certified (stamped) by the issuing institution are acceptable, but if you submit a certified copy via mail, you must present the originals when you arrive at the University.
All official transcripts must be accompanied by translations in English. Transcripts submitted via email or fax will NOT be accepted. 
 

2. FINANCIAL SUPPORT DOCUMENTS
The estimated amount for tuition and living expenses for one academic year is currently $31,630 USD.

Proof of financial status must include:

  • Original statement or certified letter from the sponsor’s bank verifying that such funds currently are available and will be so for each subsequent year of study at the University. The financial evidence must cover at least the amount of expenses needed for the first year of study.
  • Original letter of financial support from the person(s) or sponsoring agency providing funds for tuition and living expenses for the duration of the student’s study at Saint Louis University

Applying to ESL Level 2-3 (Intermediate - Advanced)

3. OFFICIAL ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEST SCORES
