Devin Johnston was raised in North Carolina and went to school in Ohio and Chicago. He has published five books of poetry, a book of essays on the natural world, and a critical study of the occult in contemporary American poetry. His most recent book, Far-Fetched: Poems, was published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux in 2015. With Michael O'Leary, he directs Flood Editions, a nonprofit publishing house for poetry, short fiction, and art.
