The John H. Gladney Diversity Award

Saint Louis University School of Medicine's Office of Multicultural Affairs will host the 14th John H. Gladney Diversity Awards on Thursday, May 2 at Busch Student Center, 20 N. Grand Boulevard.

The event will feature James H. Buford, president and CEO of Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, as the guest speaker for the evening. At the award ceremony, three fourth-year medical students and two community physicians will be honored for their contribution in improving student awareness of diversity and health care disparities.

"This diversity event reflects to the Jesuit mission and vision of Saint Louis University by encouraging students to keep a helpful and watchful eye on those from different pathways of life," said Michael Railey, M.D., associate dean of multicultural affairs and associate professor at SLU School of Medicine

The evening begins with dinner at 6 p.m. followed immediately by the program. Parking is available in the Laclede Garage.
