Trash to Treasure: Sustainable Move-Out

At the end of each semester, the Office of Sustainability & Benchmarking hosts a sustainable move-out program called "Trash to Treasure." This allows students an easy way to responsibly dispose of any unwanted items as they move-out of their residence halls. Trash to Treasure Sign

During fall move-out donation boxes are set-up only inside residence hall lobbies with high volume of students moving out. At the end of the spring semester donation tents are set up outside of most residence halls, where students can donate gently used items.

Items Accepted: clothing, furniture, working appliances/ electronics, unused toiletries, and unopened and non-perishable food items, opened or unopened cleaning supplies.

Look for boxes and bins with the Trash to Treasure drop off zone sign to donate.

Donated items will go to St. Vincent de Paul, Campus Kitchen, and Stray Rescue. This helps to keep things out of the landfill and support people and animals in need.

If you have any questions about what to donate or have large items, please email GreenBilliken@slu.edu.

Higher purpose. Greater good.
