Help SLU Compete in RecycleMania 2012

Saint Louis University is currently participating in the RecycleMania 2012 tournament, a friendly competition and benchmarking tool for college and university recycling programs to promote waste reduction activities to their campus communities. The competition runs until March 31.

SLU community members are invited to learn more about the tournament and what they can do to make SLU's involvement a success by visiting the RecycleMania website.

As a reminder, SLU runs a single-stream recycling program to maximize participation from students, faculty and staff. Single stream means all recyclables are acceptable to put into any recycling bin on campus regardless of the labeling on the bin.

The following items can be recycled:

  • Cardboard
  • Paper (including newspapers, phone books, junk mail, catalogs, magazines, etc.)
  • Paperboard (cereal boxes, snack boxes, etc.)
  • Dairy and juice containers
  • Plastic bottles and containers #1-7
  • Glass bottles and jars
  • Aluminum (all)
  • Tin or steel cans
