Hekmat Khodr Zarzour, M.D., has joined the faculty of Saint Louis University School of Medicine as a clinical instructor in the Department of Neurosurgery. Dr. Zarzour earned his medical degree from Voronezh State Medical Academy, Voronezh, Russia,
followed by a neurosurgery residency at Burdenko Neurosurgery Institute, Moscow, Russia, a clinical research radiosurgery fellowship at Ohio State University College of Medicine, a clinical endovascular neurosurgery and interventional neuroradiology fellowship at Harvard Medical School and a neurosurgery residency at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.

He joins SLUCare from his neurosurgery residency. Dr. Zarzour has clinical expertise in neurosurgery, cerebrovascular neurosurgery, endovascular neurosurgery, degenerative spine diseases and stereotactic radiosurgery. In addition to patient care and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Zarzour has research interests in vasospasm. Dr. Zarzour sees patients at SLUCare Doctors Office Building, 3560 Vista Ave., and Saint Louis University Hospital West Pavilion, 3655 Vista Ave. Appointments can be made by calling (314) 977-4440 or (866) 977-4440.
