Carole H. McKinstry, N.P., has joined the physician practice of Saint Louis University School of Medicine as a nurse practitioner in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Ms. McKinstry earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Saint Louis University and Master of Science in nursing and post-master family nurse practitioner certificate from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. She
joins SLUCare from the St. Anthony's Physician's Group in Alton, Ill.

Board-certified as a family nurse practitioner, Ms. McKinstry is a registered nurse with advanced practice recognition from the State of Missouri, and an advanced practice nurse license and an advanced practice nurse/controlled substance license from the State of Illinois. Ms. McKinstry has hospital affiliations with Saint Louis University Hospital and Mercy Hospital St. Louis, and has clinical expertise in cancer survivorship, otology, diabetic effects on the ear and wound care. In addition to patient care,
Ms. McKinstry has research interests in long-term cancer survivor needs, particularly in the area of mental health.
