Jack M. Lionberger, M.D., Ph.D., has joined the faculty of Saint Louis University School of Medicine as an assistant professor of internal medicine in the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology. Dr. Lionberger completed his doctoral studies and earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, followed by a residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics and a fellowship at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. He joins SLUCare after serving twoyears on the faculty at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

Dr. Lionberger is an attending physician at Saint Louis University Hospital and has clinical expertise in acute leukemia, myelodysplastic syndrome and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. In addition to patient care and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Lionberger has research interests in management of patients with myelodysplastic syndrome, acute myeloid leukemia and lymphoblastic leukemia.
