Nisha Mangalat, M.D., has joined the faculty of Saint Louis University School of Medicine as an assistant professor in the Division of Gastroenterology. Dr. Mangalat earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, followed by a pediatric residency also at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine and a pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. She joins SLUCare from her fellowship.
Dr. Mangalat is board-certified in pediatric gastroenterology and is a member of the North American Society for Pediatric Gastoenterology and Nutrition. Dr. Mangalat is an attending physician at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center and has clinical expertise in abdominal pain, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease and eosinophilic esophagitis. In addition to patient care and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Mangalat has research interests in probiotics. Dr. Mangalat sees patients at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center, 1465 S. Grand Blvd.; St. Anthony's Medical Plaza, 12700 Southfork Road; and SSM St. Joseph's West, 100 Medical Plaza in Lake St. Louis, Mo.
