Robin Chamberland, Ph.D., has joined the faculty of Saint Louis University School of Medicine as an assistant professor of pathology in the Division of Clinical Pathology. Dr. Chamberland completed her doctoral work and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, and a clinical microbiology fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine. She joins SLUCare from her fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine.

A diplomate of the American Board of Medical Microbiology, Dr. Chamberland is the author of numerous
publications, and she lectures frequently on Staphylococcus aureus. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Dr. Chamberland has research interests in antimicrobial resistance in S. aureus as well as bacterial toxins and their interactions with the host innate immune system, particularly in the setting of S. aureus necrotizing pneumonia.
