Scott W. Ferreira, M.D., has joined the faculty of Saint Louis University School of Medicine as an assistant professor of internal medicine in the Division of Cardiology. Dr. Ferreira earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine, followed by a residency at Brown University School of Medicine, a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, and a fellowship in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at St. Vincent Hospitals and Health Services in Indianapolis. He joins SLUCare from St. Vincent. Board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology, Dr. Ferreira is a member of the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Rhythm Society.

Dr. Ferreira is an attending physician at Saint Louis University Hospital and has clinical expertise in heart rhythm care, cardiac ablation procedures, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, device interrogation and programming, diagnosis of arrhythmias, and general cardiology. In addition to patient care and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Ferreira has research interests in outcomes for ablation procedures and device implantation.
