Chapter Award Season
Alpha Delta Pi --
Alpha Delta Pi, Eta Nu received the Golden Lion Award this summer, which recognizes the top 16 chapters of Alpha Delta Pi internationally. To receive this award, a Golden Lion chapter must receive the highest marks in all areas of Alpha Delta Pi awards for six consecutive years. Chapters are recognized every two years by the International Grand President at Alpha Delta Pi's Grand Convention.
Kappa Delta --
Kappa Delta was recognized for selling the most magazines out of all Kappa Delta chapters, for which proceeds go to the KD Scholarship fund. Zeta Iota is in the top 20% of all Kappa Delta chapters, which awards them the title of Merit Chapter for the second consecutive term.
Phi Delta Theta --
Phi Delta Theta at Saint Louis University received the highest level of excellence award, the Gold Star-Outstanding Excellence Award. The Gold Star is the top award presented for overall excellence in chapter operations. Just a few examples of the requirements of a Gold Star chapter include: rank in the top 1/3 of fraternities in GPA or be above the all men's average, provide a complete financial report by the treasurer, copies of alumni newsletters, community service hours, and event planning forms. Phi Delt also received the General Headquarters Award which is based on organization within the chapter through promptness in the submission of reports to the General Headquarters.
Sigma Alpha Epsilon --
The past SAE Eminent Archon and Philanthropy Chair was awarded the John O. Moseley Leadership Award for his efforts in planning the Leaders conference. SAE was also nominated for Most improved Chapter award and the Philanthropy award by both their Province and Regional Directors. The current Eminent Archon has been chosen to represent all undergraduate members on the the National Undergraduate Advisory Committee. He was chosen as one of 12 from the over 300,000 active undergraduate members of SAE.
Sigma Phi Epsilon --
Sigma Phi Epsilon was awarded The Buchanan Outstanding Chapter Award, which is given to the top 10% of chapters nationally. This award is given to chapters with superior and sustained achievement in the organization. Only the chapters that excel in every area of operations and further the Grand Chapter's strategic plan qualify for this high honor.
Sigma Tau Gamma --
Sigma Tau Gamma was awarded the Earl A. Webb Most Improved Chapter, which is the highest award given by their national organization. Chapters Receiving this award have to have notable growth in many categories regarding the chapter; Epsilon Xi was recognized specifically for Recruitment Improvement. Sig Tau was also named runner up for the E. Kennedy Whitesett Communications Award. This award is given to Sig Tau chapters with the best communications with the national organization and utilizing things such as social media and alumni association to further chapter improvements.
Zeta Tau Alpha --
Zeta Tau Alpha was awarded the Crown Chapter Award, which exemplifies excellence in 5 areas determined by their national organization. They also received the Quota Total Award which is given to ZTA chapters for keeping quota all year. Zeta at SLU also received the Standards Award from their national organization, based on all of their social responsibility programming done throughout the year.
