The Panhellenic Council serves as a council of women whose objective is to represent the five sorority chapters on campus. Each chapter is represented by an executive board member and two delegates. One major responsibility of the Panhellenic Council is the planning and implementation of formal recruitment at the beginning of every academic school year. Through the recruitment process, an average of 250 young women join a sorority upon entering their freshman year. In addition, the council provides educational programming and resources for its member chapters throughout the year. Through the bylaws and standards of the Panhellenic Council, respectful conduct between and outside any sorority is expected. Respect is shared through the cooperative efforts within the Panhellenic Council. During weekly meetings, council business is conducted and communications of recent sorority events are reported to enable a united and panhellenic atmosphere at Saint Louis University.
The Panhellenic Creed

Cooperation for furthering fraternity life, in harmony with its best possibilities, is the ideal that shall guide our fraternity activities.
We, as Fraternity Women, stand for service through the development of character inspired by the close contact and deep friendship of individual fraternity and Panhellenic Life. The opportunity for wide and wise human service through mutual resepect and helpfulness, is the tenet by which we strive to live.
