What is the role of the Office of Diversity and Affirmative Action?
This Office's functions are:
- To monitor legislation as it relates to our non-discrimination and harassment policies.
- To act as an internal auditor.
- To provide educational programs on diversity and inclusion awareness and training on EEO and Harassment policies.
- To act as a resource for faculty, staff, and students regarding diversity and the EEO and harassment policies.

What is Affirmative Action?
The implementation of special recruitment and developmental efforts to overcome the underrepresentation of targeted groups to achieve a balanced and diverse faculty, staff, and student population. Target groups include persons of color, women, persons with different abilities, disabled veterans, and Vietnam era veterans.

What is Harassment?
