"I am a graduate student in the department of Communication. After receiving my bachelor's degree in Communication at St. Louis University, I knew I wanted to stay within this department. I spent some time away from academia pursuing my basketball career now I have returned to fufill my other passion which is learning. Due to the knowledgeable professors within this department I am able to grow personally and academically. This fellowship has provided me the opportunity to research my personal interest. My personal interest are athletics, youth, women and African American Studies."
