Prospective Students

Saint Louis University offers programs of study leading to academic degrees of master of arts, master of science, doctor of philosophy and doctor of education. Numerous certificate programs and advanced, dual-degree programs are also offered.

Requirements for a master's degree include 30 or more credit hours of post-baccalaureate course work, plus specific departmental criteria.

If a research degree is sought, a thesis and final degree examination are required. General requirements for the doctorate are 60 to 75 credit hours beyond the bachelor's degree, preliminary degree examinations and a project or dissertation.
