The Post-Master's, Nurse-Practitioner, certificate programs are offered jointly by the School of Nursing and The Graduate School of Saint Louis University. Preparation in an alternative specialty or for another professional role is offered to persons who have earned Master's degrees in Nursing.

The certificate may be earned by completing a focused program of study that includes a minimum of fifteen (15) semester hours of credit in advanced academic work. Prerequisites for this certificate program include registered professional nurse licensure in Missouri or the State in which the student will undertake the required practica.

Certificate students are not eligible for fellowship, traineeship, or assistantship appointments made through The Graduate School, but they may be eligible for grants, loans, and other forms of federal or state-based financial assistance available through the University's Office of Scholarship and Financial Aid (DuBourg Hall, Room 121).
