Long Term Care
Saint Louis University offers enrollment in a Long-Term Care Insurance program to all full-time faculty, staff and house staff actively working 32 hours or more per week on U.S. payroll, with a plan effective date of November 1, 2012. All eligible employees who apply for coverage during the initial open enrollment period or within 60 days of their date of hire have guaranteed acceptance regardless of their health status. Eligible spouses, adult children, spouses of adult children, siblings, spouses of siblings, parents, parents-in-law, grandparents, grandparents-in-law of eligible employees may enroll; although, they are subject to medical underwriting.
Genworth Life Insurance Company is the provider for this program, which is a voluntary benefit not subsidized by the University. Genworth Life will directly bill each participant who enrolls.
