Saint Louis University offers enrollment in a Long-Term Care Insurance program to all full-time faculty, staff and house staff actively working 32 hours or more per week on U.S. payroll, with a plan effective date of November 1, 2012. Additionally, eligible spouses, adult children, spouses of adult children, siblings, spouses of siblings, parents, parents-in-law, grandparents, grandparents-in-law of eligible faculty, staff and house staff also may enroll, under certain conditions. Genworth Life Insurance Company (Genworth Life) is the provider for this new program, which is a voluntary benefit not subsidized by the University. Genworth Life will directly bill each participant whom enrolls either during the initial Open Enrollment period or during the first 31 days of employment for newly hired employees.

All eligible, actively-at-work faculty, staff, or house staff who apply for coverage during the initial Open Enrollment period or within 31 days of eligibility have guaranteed acceptance regardless of their health status.

Long- Term Care was previously provided by John Hancock.
