ISTD 290 - Intercultural Seminar & Practicum: Globalization in Literature
This course (ISTD 290 - #15141) is being offered for Fall 2013. This course will examine the concept of globalization from and through a literary perspective combining literary, film, and critical texts from a variety of nations/cultures. Some topics covered will include: local, national, and cosmopolitan identities; issues of language, production; commodification, commerce, and culture; post-colonialism and literature; technology, media, and literature; and others. The course will combine seminar-style instruction with practical activities.
