International Studies Fall 2013 Events
**International Studies is launching an online course in the Spring. It is the Introduction to International Studies--ISTD 110 and the session lasts for 8 weeks. The course starts March 18 and ends on May 10, 2013.
Students just returned from Mumbai that were enrolled in ISTD 393, Conversations in Globalization. It's an online course with the University of Stuttgart, St. Xavier's College and Saint Louis University. The SLU student's participation was in part supported by the generosity of St. Louis Stuttgart Sister Cities, a local organization that seeks to strengthen educational and other ties between the two sister cities.
At the initiative of International Studies, Saint Louis University signed a Letter of Intent with Jagiellonian University of Krakow, Poland's oldest and top-ranked university on November 1. **International Studies co-sponsored the International Studies Association-Midwest and Central Slavic Conference's annual joint meeting in St. Louis on November 3. In connection with the joint conference, we had 60 scholars from across the country and around the world on campus on November 3 for a keynote and reception in the library with he Soviet poster show as the backdrop.
