Latest Email Scam Very Convincing
Some people in the SLU community have received an email with the subject line: "SLU incident where your SLU Net ID may have been compromised." The email appears to come from a slu.edu account, but no such "SLU IT Alert" account exists here.
Furthermore, no issues have been affecting SLU Net IDs in the past few days. Hackers are becoming very skilled at imitating real email accounts, but the important way to tell this is fake is that it asks for your password. SLU will never ask for your password in an email.
Customers who received the email should select the email, then go to the Move to: folder and select Spam. Contact the Information Security Team with any questions.
