Procedure to Request an ITS Project
To begin the process of requesting a project from ITS, go to the Service Request Management system on the Tools tab in  mySLU. This is where you will download the Project Request Form. The completed form must be signed by the appropriate Vice President, scanned and saved as a PDF document. The document should then be submitted to the Project Office for review. A member of the ITS Project Office will contact you.

(Note: A valid SLU Net ID is required to access the Tools tab on mySLU. It is also recommended that you access the Service Request Management system in Internet Explorer or Firefox and not in Google Chrome.)

Download the Project Request Form:

  1. Log in to myslu.slu.edu.
  2. Select the Tools tab.
  3. Click on the icon for IT Service Request.
  4. Select the ITS Projects entry on the Service Categories page.
  5. Select Download Project Request Form from the Services page.
  6. Open the Word document and save it.
  7. An entry will display on the Submitted Requests page.
  8. Log out of the BMC Service Request Management system.
  9. Complete the Project Request form.
  10. Print the completed Project Request form.
  11. Obtain the signature of the appropriate Vice President.
  12. Scan the signed Project Request form and save as a PDF document.

Submit the Completed Project Request Form:

  1. Log into myslu.slu.edu.
  2. Select the Tools tab.
  3. Click on the icon for IT Service Request.
  4. Select the ITS Projects entry on the Service Categories page.
  5. Select Submit Completed Project Request Form from the Services page.
  6. Enter the Project Name and Executive Sponsor.
  7. Click the Add Attachment button.
  8. Click the Add button in the Attachments Pop-up box that displays.
  9. Click Browse and select the saved Project Request document.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Verify that your file name is listed in the Attachments box.
  12. Click Save.
  13. Check the box indicating the signed project request form is attached.
  14. Click Submit.
  15. An entry will display on the Submitted Requests page.
  16. Log out of the BMC Service Request Management system.
