Life Sciences Learning Community
The Life Sciences Learning Community allows students considering majoring in Biology, Chemistry, pre-medical studies or pre-professional health to live and study together on the floor. The experience will allow students to learn more about their majors and hear from faculty in science programs related to their specific fields of interest.
Examples of Activities:
- Movie Mondays
- Biology/ Chemistry special study groups and panels
- Trip to the Science Center - Life Sciences Lab
- Community service
- Research opportunities.
- On Campus dissections with Health Sciences LC
- "So You Think You Want To Be A Doctor" annual Panel discussion
Guided Study Groups:
The Life Sciences learning community is one of four learning communities that will have guided study groups in the Fall. While all learning communities and FIGs are encouraged to build study groups, these guided study groups have the built in support of the Department of Academic Support's tutoring and Supplemental Instruction services.
