Commissioned by the Ramsay Abbey cellarer, Walter of Grafham, this manuscript was no doubt intended as a gift for the abbot at this time, John of Sawtry.

Open to fols. 16v—the calendar page for December, with the head of a Benedictine monk and the inscription “Grafham honoretur” in the lower margin, and 17r—with a full-page, two-register miniature depicting the dedication of Ramsay Abbey and its foundation.
