Student-to-Student: Library Tips
with Nick Freed
Welcome Freshmen
Welcome Freshmen!! Nick Freed here, the student voice of Pius Library, would like to welcome you to Saint Louis University. As a former freshman, I know this can be an overwhelming time in your life but Pius Library is the best place to go on campus if you need homework help.
Do you need help with that research paper? The reference librarians at Pius Library can help you get started and find sources for your paper. They are more than ready to help you through one-on-one sessions, telephone, and even chat. Can’t find that book or article your professor insists on reading? Pius is part of a network of Missouri libraries called MOBIUS. You can request a book from a MOBIUS library and pick it up at Pius. Still can’t find it? The Interlibrary Loan Department has the resources to find that book or journal article in any library across the country. What if your new roommate is the noisy type? No worries there. Pius is open late almost every night in order to give you a nice, quiet place to study. Café Libros, located in the library’s lobby is also open so you can refuel with a hot latte or muffin. Pius is home to a computer lab complete with laser and color printers and coming soon…a scanner. Wireless access and printing is also available throughout the library.
For more information or if you have a question, please call the reference desk at 977-3103 or visit http://www.slu.edu/libraries/pius.
Just remember the librarians and staff at Pius Library are always here to help during your college experience. They may not be able to help you get a date for Friday night, but they can help you get that paper done that’s due on Monday.
