Student-to-Student: Library Survival Tips

Writing Center
Depending on your definition of easy, it’s fairly simple to do research. But research is useless unless you put it into a flowing, beautiful, or otherwise wordy form. Now you’re going to actually have to write that paper. Since not everyone’s an Ernest Hemingway, Tom Clancy, Dale Brown, or whatever author that you can think of at the moment, it’s immensely important that you check your efforts at writing your paper by consulting with someone who really knows their stuff.
Luckily for you, Saint Louis University’s Writing Center has a location right here at Pius XII Memorial Library. You can find it on the Third Floor, inside the Anheuser-Busch wing. The hours include Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m, Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for all of your writing help needs. Please note that the writing center is closed on Saturdays.
While walk-ins are certainly welcome, it's strongly recommended that you make an appointment ahead of time. To call and make an appointment, or for any other information about the writing center, please call Sue Mendelsohn at 314-977-2930, or drop them an email at writingcenter@slu.edu.
