Print resources are available in Pius Library.  Good sources for information about motion pictures are the annual Motion Picture Guide  [Ref. PN 1993 .M4334], Filmgoer's Companion [Ref. PN 1993.45 H3], and Encyclopedia of Film [Ref. PN 1993.45 .M638 1991].  To search the Saint Louis Universtiy Libraries Catalog by subject for books about movies use Motion Pictures and its subdivisions.

National Film Preservation Board

In 1988 the United States Library of Congress established the National Film Preservation Board to select 25 films per year for preservation.  Provides the lists so far by release date and alphabetically.  Also has a section for the public to nominate films to be included.
