Provides information on more than 14,000 companies that spend a minimum of $200,000 on advertising per year.

American Demographics magazine is a unique and indispensable marketing resource that monthly provides analysis of trends, issues, and events that are shaping and reshaping consumer markets. Available full-text in ABI/Inform Complete and Business Source Premier.

Consumer Expenditure Survey

The Bureau of Labor Statistics collects information from American consumers (families and single consumers) on their buying habits (expenditures), income, and characteristics. The strength of the survey is that it allows data users to relate the expenditures and income of consumers to the characteristics of those consumers.

Demographics USA County Edition

Consists of over 1,500 pages of maps and demographic, economic and commercial/industrial estimates. Also, projections are provided for major categories such as population, household, and retail sales.

Euromonitor publishes the following volumes, which provide marketing and consumer statistics for various countries and regions. Current edition on Index Table 1.

Lifestyle Market Analyst

Section 1 provides data for geographic markets, both on general demographics (age, income, etc.) and on lifestyles (proportion of households with people interested in gardening, etc.).  Section 2 provides demographic data on those identified with a particular lifestyle group.  Section 3 provides demographic and lifestyle data on individual consumer market segments (e.g., 35- to 44-year-olds with $50,000-$74,999 income). Section 4 provides a comprehensive list of consumer magazines and direct mail lists classifications targeted to each lifestyle profile.

The Federal Service of Statistical Universe consists of American Statistical Index (ASI) indexing and abstracting from 1973- .  Full text for more than 800 U.S. government statistical publications is available from 1995-.  Provides links from ASI entries to federal government Web sites with indexed publication's full text.

Statistical Reference Index (SRI)  (Annual).

Indexes and abstracts from more than 2,500 journals and trade publications in all areas of business and management, many with an international focus.  Full text is available for more than 2000 of the publications.

Business Source Premier. 1965-   EBSCOHost. In-library and remote access.
Updated daily. Indexes and abstracts 350 of the most important scholarly business journals. In addition, it includes indexing, abstracting and full text for 1,103 peer-reviewed journals, 2,364 trade journals and business magazines, 1,217 country economic reports, 3,146 industry reports and yearbooks, and 528 market research reports.

Updated continuously.  Covers news, business and legal information.  Excellent for news and company information.

Business & Company Resource Center.   1980- .  Gale.  In-library and remote access.
Updated daily except Sunday. Indexes approximately 1,000 business journals and trade/industry publications as well as 200,000 full-text company directory profiles and more than 50,000 full-text investment reports.  Approximately half of the journals and trade/industry publications are full text.  Also includes brief industry profiles, company histories, company financial statements, performance ratings, rankings, product and brand listings and association listings.

Updated monthly.  Produced by the American Economic Association, this is the major index for locating literature in economics.  It is the electronic equivalent of Journal of Economic Literature (Ref. HB1 .J6), Index of Economic Articles in Journals & Collective Volumes (Ref.  Z7164.E2 I45) and Cambridge University Press Abstracts of Working Papers in Economics.  Indexes worldwide literature on economics from books, working papers, collective volumes and more than 300 major economics journals.

Updated monthly.  Produced by the Public Affairs Information Service, this database indexes and abstracts books, journal articles, conference proceedings, reports, pamphlets, and government documents covering topics that are or may become the subject of legislation.  Subject areas include economic, political, and social issues, public administration, law, business and political science.  More than 1,600 journals published worldwide in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese or Spanish are selectively indexed each year.

St. Louis Post-Dispatch.  1988- . NewsBank. In-library and remote access.
Updated daily.  Access to archival articles back to 1988.  Go to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Web site for late-breaking news and articles available only on their Web site.  Another point of access for this newspaper is LexisNexis Academic.   For articles between 1975 and 1987, use St. Louis Post-Dispatch Index (East Index Wall)

The Wall Street Journal (Eastern edition).  1984- .  ProQuest.  In-library and remote access.
Updated daily.  This U.S. newspaper "is the financial newspaper of record.  It offers in-depth coverage of national and international finance as well as first-rate coverage of hard news" (text from site).  Indexing, abstracting and full text is available from 1984 forward.
