CALL NUMBERS

Pius Library uses the Library of Congress (LC) classification system to organize and determine the location of books and periodicals in the library.  You may have used this system or the Dewey Decimal System in other libraries.  In the LC system each title is assigned a unique call number based on its subject.  For example, all of the books relating to literature in the library have a call number beginning with the letter P.

SELF-TEST:

The call number for the book in question is LB 2343.4 .E35 1988.  Link to the Browsing Aid to Library of Congress Classification.  What is the subject designation of the book?
