June/July

Who: Christian Friends of New Americans, assisting immigrants and refugees who have recently arrived in St. Louis.
What: Volunteers are needed for monthly free health screenings for immigrants and refugees. Assist with registration, assisting the practitioners with health screenings, wellness lessons, etc. No medical background required.
When: Saturday, June 2 from 9 a.m. - Noon

What: Volunteers are needed for our Step Up for Down Syndrome Celebration, a fun-filled day for our friends filled with carnival games, rides, music, food and more.  Multiple areas to volunteer.

Who: Smart Kids, Inc. Tutoring and Mentoring Program
What: Volunteers are needed for our summer program for youth, assisting them with a variety of educational and recreational activities.
When: June 4 - August 4, Mondays-Fridays.  Times are flexible, and can be anytime between 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Who: Down Syndrome Association
What: Volunteers are needed for the Lydia Cox Memorial Bike Camp, assisting children with Down Syndrome learn to ride a bike.  Volunteers can come one day, or all five, and any time slot that works for them.
When: Monday, June 4 - Friday, June 8; anytime 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

What: Volunteers are needed for our annual overnight summer camp for children with epilepsy.  Act as a one-on-one counselor assisting youth with recreational activities.  Training provided June 2 from 9am-Noon.

Who: Camp Circle Star, a non-profit that hosts day camps for youth with disabilities.
What: Volunteers are needed for Camp Buddy, a day-camp for children with disabilities. Work 1:1 with youth doing a variety of activities, games, and outdoor programming. Transportation provided.
When: Saturday, June 10 from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Who: St. Louis Children's Hospital - Cerebral Palsy Sports Program.
What: Volunteers are needed for our weekly day-camps for children with Cerebral Palsy.  Assist with activities such as yoga, soccer, swimming, dance, basketball and more!
When: Camp will be held for the following six weeks: June 11-15, June 18-22, June 25-29, July 9-13, July 16-20 and July 23-27, 2018.  Camp times are 9am-5pm, and volunteers do not need to commit to every day during the week.
