Guidelines for Campus Political Activity
As a condition of Saint Louis University's tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, SLU is prohibited from directly or indirectly participating or intervening in political campaign activities on behalf of or in opposition to any candidate for elected public office.
Saint Louis University encourages students, faculty and staff to exercise their civic rights to participate in the electoral process, including involvement in political campaigns, so long as they make clear that their political activities and statements are their own and not the University's.
