SLU-Madrid’s Department of Psychology trains students to analyze human behavior from a variety of different perspectives, ranging from brain function to cultural influences. The department is also home to other majors and interdisciplinary programs: anthropology, international studies, sociology, and women's and gender studies.
At SLU-Madrid, students can earn their full Bachelor of Arts in Psychology or begin their psychology degree in Madrid and complete it at Saint Louis University’s St. Louis campus.
Anthropology, in the broadest sense, is the study of humans. The anthropological endeavor involves both sociocultural and biological aspects of humankind, and is part of the social science community of disciplines.
Its practitioners examine human cultural and biological variation and complexity through a combination of scientific and humanistic methods. One characteristic that sets anthropology apart from other fields of study is its holistic approach; it’s comprehensive, inclusive and integrates information from many different areas of study through ethnographic, biological, cross-cultural and sociological inquiries.
