Saint Louis University Marketing Program Overview 

Saint Louis University's Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in marketing provides you with the practical skills and training necessary to effectively promote products and services. You will learn to be creative in your approach to problem solving and gain an understanding of human behavior as it relates to advertising, sales and branding.

If you choose to major in business administration with a concentration in marketing at SLU, you'll meet working marketers through research, case studies and internships with leading agencies and corporations. You'll also hear from guest speakers and participate in class projects involving local organizations. A student chapter of the national American Marketing Association on SLU's campus will also provide you with an opportunity to learn about the different career paths in marketing - from advertising and branding to digital marketing and communications - and a chance to network with marketing professionals.

What You'll Learn in SLU's Marketing Program

The marketing program at SLU's John Cook School of Business is practical and career-oriented. In addition to fulfilling SLU's requirements for the B.S. in business administration degree, you'll take 18 credit hours of coursework beyond MKT 300 to complete your concentration in marketing.

Curriculum for SLU's marketing program includes required courses in marketing research, marketing decision models and marketing policy. You'll then choose from electives including Sports Marketing, Brand Management, Integrated Marketing Communications, Personal Selling, Retail Management and Buyer Behavior.
