Program Goals and Objectives
- Provide graduates with the expertise and knowledge to assist in the advancement of the molecular imaging science.
- Obtain the expertise in multiple areas of imaging and radiation therapy in a professional graduate-based program and develop professionals ready to contribute to the growth and development of molecular imaging and therapeutics.
- Build on the student's knowledge of the sciences and expand their applicable comprehension of multiple molecular imaging modalities and therapies.
Magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear medicine technology and radiation therapy are all currently evolving and merging in an effort to enable more personalized diagnosing and treatment for patients. Commercial development and research have created a strong demand for individuals with skills in hybrid imaging and therapeutics. There are currently no educational programs meeting this need. SLU is on the forefront of providing professionals for the molecular imaging and therapy sciences.
