Gregory S. Smith, Ph.D. is Assistant Dean for Educational Development

Dr. Smith received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in Houston,Texas and then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Pathology at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He joined the faculty at Saint Louis University School of Medicine in 1995. Dr Smith is an active teacher in the curriculum and holds a variety of administrative positions in the School of Medicine including; Director, Cell Biology Course, Director, First and Second Year Medical Student Electives, Director, Surgery Clerkship. Director, Medical Student Career Advising and Director, Phase I Curriculum. He was named the Assistant Dean for Educational Development in 2008. He is interested in surgical technologies, mentoring medical students and student career development.
