Sick Leave

If a postgraduate trainee is off duty because of illness or maternity, the trainee’s stipend will be continued for a period of up to thirty (30) days during the appointment year if the trainee is able to return to the training program. If the trainee is able to return to the program and does not do so, it shall be the responsibility and prerogative of the training program director to determine whether or not the time missed shall be made-up, and such director’s decision shall be final. Medical evidence substantiating the nature and probable duration of an incapacity may be required.
