Saint Louis Army ROTC

Army ROTC has a total of 273 host programs with more than 1,100 partnership and affiliate schools across the country. It produces approximately 60 percent of the Second Lieutenants who join the Army, Army Reserve and Army National Guard. More than 40 percent of current Active Duty Army General Officers were commissioned through ROTC.

Army ROTC is one of the few college programs that teaches true leadership. This training is invaluable for any career that involves leading, managing and motivating people or fostering teamwork. Officers in the U.S. Army are typically responsible for hundreds of soldiers and millions of dollars in equipment; this kind of management experience can be very attractive for post-Army employers.

The Saint Louis Army ROTC program includes dozens of SLU students, as well as students from other local colleges and universities. A typical Army ROTC cadet can expect to spend around 10 hours each week in training, leadership classes and meetings.

Army ROTC offers several scholarship options. Whether you're a college-bound high school student or already attending a college or university, Army ROTC has merit-based scholarships available for you.

Army ROTC scholarships include two-, three- and four-year options. Full-tuition scholarships are available with an option to qualify for room and board. Additional scholarships for living expenses can also provide a monthly living allowance for each school year.
