Editorial places exhibition in context of Black History Month
In an op-ed commentary in the Thursday, February 21, 2002, edition of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Karla Scott, Director of African-American Studies at Saint Louis University, reflects on the Tuskegee Syphilis Study. She notes, "If we are to understand the racial discord that still exists today, it is just as necessary to acknowledge the painful past of collective black America as to celebrate achievements."

Civil rights lawyer Fred D. Gray, William C. Wyatt, son of a Tuskegee study participant, and MOCRA Director Terrence Dempsey, S.J., discussed the Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment and its consequences with host Mike Sampson on the "St. Louis On the Air" talk show on St. Louis NPR affiliate KWUM-90.7 FM on April 30, 2002.

Silver Clouds at MOCRA are photogenic.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch published feature photos of visitors interacting with the Silver Clouds at MOCRA several times during the Clouds' second appearance at MOCRA.
Silver Clouds named "Best Museum Exhibit" of 2002
The Riverfront Times proclaimed MOCRA's Silver Clouds installation St. Louis' best museum exhibit of 2002 in its September 25 - October 1, 2002, edition. The commendation noted that "the movement of the clouds becomes a dance between pure arcs of light. Heaven."
